It's hard to think of a band whose audience could out-rally, out-sigh, and out-drink the audience at a Flogging Molly show... but a Social Distortion crowd might be able to handle the job. Now, it looks like North America will find out.

Veteran punk-rock bands Social Distortion and Flogging Molly head out on co-headline tour
California legends Social Distortion and Irish-American Celtic-punks Flogging Molly embark on a huge tour of the USA and Canada in August and September. The two stalwarts of the US punk scene kick off in Irving TX before an extensive two month trip, ending at Mesa AZ.
Recently celebrating 40 years as a band, Social Distortion are certainly one of the most influential punk-rock bands of all time, their 1990 eponymous third album taking them out of the underground and catapulting them to mainstream success. Flogging Molly meanwhile have carried the torch of Celtic-punk across the globe since the 1990s, combining distorted guitars and drums with Irish folk music instrumentation, cut from the same cloth as bands such as The Pogues and Dropkick Murphys.
In a press release, Social Distortion frontman Mike Ness said of the tour: "We're excited to be heading out on the road with our friends Flogging Molly this summer. It's been a long time since we've played a show together and the first time since '92 that Social Distortion has done a co-headline tour. It's going to be a lot of fun and we're all looking forward to it."
