The Secret Garden

October 10 - 22, 2017

In this exciting pre-Broadway revival of The Secret Garden, TUTS joins forces with Seattle's very own 5th Avenue Theatre in a stunning new co-production! Based on the haunting 1911 coming of age novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, the show first premiered in 1991, adapted by by Marsha Norman, where it ran on Broadway for over 700 performances. It won the female lead, Daisy Eagan a Tony Award for her performance, making her the youngest recipient of the award at the time. With a new book and lyrics by the Pulitzer Prize-winner Marsha Norman and music by Lucy Simon, be transported to the wilds of Yorkshire, and rediscover love, nature and family with your loved ones.

December 12 - 24, 2017

Disney may have recently revamped their story of Sleeping Beauty for the big screen, but this ambitious new family musical throws all of the rules out of the castle window with contemporary pop tunes from the likes of Aloe Blacc, Blondie, Bruno Mars, Survivor, Jessie J, John Legend, Katy Perry, Mariah Carey, LMFAO and Pharrell Williams! With a cast full of both TV and stage stars set to perform (names to be confirmed), this holiday pantomime puts a fabulously modern twist on the classic 18th century fairy tale, which encourages audiences to see fairytales in a different light!

February 20 - March 4, 2018

First premiering in Massachusetts and California during the 2003/04 season to great acclaim, Memphis arrived on Broadway in 2009, playing for three years and winning four Tony Awards (including Best Musical) in 2010. Praised as a "perfect musical" by the Chicago press in 2011, its catchy, original songs and touching story with heart and comedy combine with high-energy dance numbers that bring the underground R&B clubs of 1950's Memphis to life and give new life to reliving the early days of the civil rights era.

Praised for setting the Houston stage alight with his recent production of In The Heights, DeGruccio has also helmed successful stagings of First Date (LA Mirada Theatre), Sondheim's Company (Cabrillo Music Theatre) and the LA Regional Premiere of Next To Normal (La Mirada Theatre). Guys And Dolls first premiered in 1950, and won five Tony Awards including Best Musical. Join us for a red-hot sizzler of a musical that tells of gamblers, gangsters and nightclub singers.
